I knew all the reports on the 6.0 diesel were to good to be true. A notice came out today saying that all 6.0 trucks are on hold at the factory because the motors have an injector problem and no shipments will be made until the problem is solved. My truck was supposed to be at the dealers the week of 11/25/02. They have 7000 motors in the warehouse and everyone of them has bad injectors. Way to go Navistar. :shoot: Navistar

thats why you never buy the first year of a new vehicle or engine.

ask all the 97 4.2 F150 people (especially those up north) and the 5.4 people (before piston slap was solved)

this always happens in the haste for auto companies to get bigger, better engines out in a hurry

what is it not tree hugging hippy clean enought oh wait not clean enought for those soccer moms driving volvos who say my truck smoke this is all part of hurring things up ford asked international to speed up the production to get trucks out before christams and new model year oh well they will fix it quick

Yea I thought about buying the first off the line and what might happen. But I decided to take a chance and rented it for three years. That way if it dosen't work out I can get out of it. It's not Ford it's Navistar that has the problem. Maybe in the future Ford can make a deal with CAT to come up with a LDT motor. Ford and CAT now there's a combo that would make skid marks in GM's shorts.
