what???? freightliner doesnt help ford with their diesels!!! ford does not even make a diesel. fords diesels are made by international. ford was in a joint partnership with freightliner helping to produce the chassis for the FL series trucks. by the way freightliner never has made a motor. they just makethe trucks. they pretty much always use cummins or cat power for their trucks. i dont ever remember seeing a single freightliner with harvester power.:

ok but sterling is owned by freightliner who helps make the bigger f seriers trucks is now owned by diamler who now owns crhysler and verios other trucks and actuall for dose make many diesels umm what about the 2.3 in 83 - 86 rangers or the 2.0 in the escorts made in mexico and qactuall you dont see that many internationals in big trucks cause most them are small in comperson to your 3406 cats 6v43 detriots and you big c cam cummins but either way this is not a good sign of things to come and yes i know freighliner dose not make motors they r just a chasiss company

i think everyone has a little work to do to catch up to Ford.

contrary to popular belief, the fact that the new Ram engine is labeled a Hemi, doesnt make it the most powerful. People hear the Hemi name and go "wow a million HP" but the new powerstroke is still stronger.

yes the new hemi will be powerful at higher rpms cause a diesel buildes its power generally at lower rpms toqure is even lower for example the my 7.3 builds 185 hp at 3000 rpm and 435 feeet pound of touqre at like 1800 could be off by some where as a gasser build generally at higher like my 351 didnt hit peak hp at 3800 all 225 and touqure was at 2500 all 310 but anyways

anyways my predictio is diamler is going on a buying spree right now and it is going to be bad cause if they have bought freightliner that means they MIGHT of bought sterling who makes axels and vers driveline components for ford oh helps uss all we might be driving a chrylser and not knowing it
