When I got my first aftermarket radio many moons ago and put it in the antenna connection (the wire that goes from the antenan to the radio) that plugs into the back of the radio was rusted a little. I looked back in the place where the radio sits and there is another little rusted place. I think some water got in somehow. The same thing happend on my old 97.

My only problem now is that I looked back there today to see if the rust had spread and when I took the radio out the connector for the antenna pulled out and broke apart so now I have no radio, only CDs.

I was wonderin if any of the other F150 guys have noticed any problems and if you have found out where the water gets in from.

If you havent keep your eyes peeled.

yea but that will cost money. my warranty is from CarMax and I know if i take it to them they will claim my radio had somethin to do with it.

im not really worried about that, i got 96 CDs to choose from. i am worried about more water gettin in and gettin to the radio.

Thats nothing, I got well over 120 in my truck. Plus more in my house.

thats nothing (120) i got over 1500, but only 72 in the truck, bt on this subject i know what your talkin about by antenna wire is rusted at the connection i saw it yesterday, when i wass trying to fix my antenna, because i like you wally now have no radio, just lots of static

hmmm spray the truck with water and see if its dripping anywhere. it could be running down the antenna line.
