Building an unstopable ranger

I have a 9' rear end, and an ibeam front out of an 84 bronco that I want to put into a ranger. I'm going to power it with a 300 inline 6 that I'm rebuilding, matched to a C6 tranny, and transfer case. Has anyone ever done this, I'm pretty sure it's possible, But any tips would help.:chevysucks:

the 300 is to long a block, you will have to take the radiator out, stick it elsewhere and go into your fire wall. have to say I like the idea though, I thought about doing the same, just stilling the I6 out of my buddies truck. but its to much work for not enough power. stick with the V8s.

re unstopable

I like your idea, but i've talked to a couple of guys since i saw your post, and the verdict is that you won't be happy. its a stability issue. modifying the 9" rear axel shock & spring perches is relatively straight forward. but the ifs front axel will sit offset to the ranger frame. better idea would be to find a 70s f150 or full size 78/79 bronco with the solid front axel, then you relocate your radius arm mounting location in to match with the width of the ranger frame. coil pads & shock mounts move in with the relocation. the only serious mod is to the length of the main steering linkage. plus the cops might hassle you. better idea would be to throw the ranger on your fullsize bronco frame, that way your drivetrain is still street legal(factory or slightly modified from stock) and all you should need is a new steering collumn shaft and custom made frame to cabmounts. should be cheaper and alot quicker. you still have to make custom frame to motor mounts and crossmember for tranny going the other route.
