I got a 1990 XLT. The silver panel on the tailgate is really pissin me off. its ugly as hell. What are soem mods i can do to make it look half decent? because it has GOT to GO

ummmm.......how about take it off, bondo or weld the holes, wet sand and prime the area, paint, clear coat, ford logo to finish it off! and the Ta-Da no more ugly tail gate!

bla reverse the hand to the inside then get a smooth tail gate skin. or tack weld up a fullskin -- tailgate and rollpan skin in one.

why not shave it and see about getting a remote popper for the talegate? That way the talegate can be smooth and you don't have to worry about reachin in the bed to open it?
