Has anyone seen a ranger with a flip down lcd screen? I was wondering how good it would work.. I plan to put a ps2 in my truck and was wondering if it would be better then some visor screens.. Thanks :)

how much time do you spend in your truck dude? :puzzled:

i could never put somethin like that in my truck. all someone has got to do is break the window rip the visor, and run. i dont even feel comfortable leaving my CD's in the truck.

If you haven't seen it, I would suggest getting it just to be unique. Thats what defines "custom."

did it just come with the screen? or was there a dvd player with it? If not...easy to wire? Where did you mount the player? Whats the quality of the screen? How much and where did you get it. Thanks.

Well I bought just the screen... I paid a little more then it was worth... $318 but I really wanted it :) Its pretty easy to wire.. there is 3 wires and 2 video inputs... red = power black= ground purple= reverse camera(leave alone) and then there are 2 video inputs so i can easily hook up a xbox and tv tuner at the same time. It comes with a remote... I just had to drill 4 holes into the headliner and screw a metal plate up there.. then I took the other 4 screws and screwed through the plastic at the top into the metal plate... it holds pretty good.. I got a model with TFT which I was told was the best you can get... I have no clue if it is or not... but overall it works great the picture is better then expected and I can't wait to get my seats installed so I can play my best friend in nascar 2000 in it ;) oh yea! I bought it a stereo expo in Rockford IL but I will get the name of the company for ya... I will get ya some pictures soon!

well not to be stupid or anything, but how are you getting a picture on the screen without a dvd player or vcr or something in the truck? Just wondering. Do you plan to add dvd and xbox or just one... pictures would be great! Thanks.

now when can you find time to play xbox in your truck? lunch break? stop light? to me it just seems like your passenger would enjoy the ride.

well overall its pretty easy... it comes with a metal plate and piercing screws... the screws screw the metal plate to the headliner... you put the screws through the first layer of metal.. and then you screw the screen to the metal plate... for wires there are 3 wires on it.... 2 small ones red and black... they are power and ground for dome lights... then there is a black one which goes about 10 feet then splits into video one video two and power and ground for the screen. so you hook up power and ground... and your rca cable into video one and your set!
