| coil tack vs spark plugs?????? I am the owner of a 2003 ford expedition SLT V8-5.4 liter. My check engine light came on and I had it check by a diagnostic computer. the computer said there was a misfire in cylinder 4. I took the car to a mechanic and asked if I should start by replacing the spark plugs, and I was told that there were no spark plugs that the car had coil tacks instead of spark plugs. I have never heard of this and I need to know if this is true and if my SUV doesn't have spark plugs it only has coil tacks? |
