Need idea for 3rd row Explorer seat

Hi. I'm a new member here and I would like to install a 3rd row seat in my '98 Eddie Bauer Explorer. Does anyone have any creative ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks. I made some calls and nobody wanted to get involved in this type of job, which I thought was trivial. Someone then told me about Performance Products at http://www.performanceproducts.com. I found the seat right away & ordered it. They claim that it installs in about an hour. I'll keep you posted.

Federal Seat regulation

Modifying seating is strictly regulated due to seat belt ramifiactions, etc. Also the floor has to be able to withstand a certain psi strength for acchors. The other reasons is that the vehicle is certified for so many passengers and to alter that will exceed the maximum payload of the vehicle.
What seems like an easy project is really quite difficult.
There are MANY other regulations on just about every vehicle built which carries restriction which seem ridiculous such as not being able to get trhe snow plow prep pkg on a super duty crew cab diesel. It's not that the truck can't handle it but IF you have your plow attached AND put the 6 people in the cab that it is certified for then you over gross the front axle. I know, who puts 6 people in the cab to plow sno; no one. But they could therefore there is a restriction.
It's for your safety and welfare and we all know that everything the government does is for our safety and welfare.
