| how to prevent bumpers from fading? Hi.... My bro is having a black 05 Escape with non painted bumpers.Now they are starting to fade. I armor all them and they look great BUT the streak white when wet. any suggestions of products i can try? tia...      |

| Re: how to prevent bumpers from fading? Seen this on many vehicles and is why I refuse to purchase any with the trim/bumper plastic not painted. It fades due to the sun and oxidation (sp?). I found these products, but don't know how good they are. The 2nd link has pics and looks to have done a good job. Black Bumper & Cladding Coat Proper Auto Detailing: How can I restore faded, oxidized plastic automotive cladding? This link provides a little detail on how to keep these pieces clean. | Re: how to prevent bumpers from fading? I've always used these products. 303 Products - Aerospace Protectant, High Tech Fabric Guard -* World's Leading Automotive Care Products I use their stuff on all black plastic, won't dry out and degrade plastic like amor-all does.
