Waxes - What are you using?

I know this has been discussed on another board, but I don't use that site anymore, and the topic may be useful to some of the new members here.

After I got my car last fall, I waxed it with convention wax (Meguiar's), and drove it for three months including a trip to Florida at Xmas. When we returned, my dealer detailed my car before putting it in his showroom for the winter with a product called "Liquid Glass". I got ahold of a can this weekend, and apparently you can't mix this with conventional waxes. If I decide to go back to wax, I would have to strip it off. There are also issues with stripping it off prior to any body work.

I really like the look it gave, but not sure if I want to stay with this product or switch. I really want to make a decision and not change anymore. I am considering this product, Zaino and Zymol. Comments and opinions please?:puzzled:

We got one of the new dark graphite grey (i think thats it) Mustangs, a red expy, a red f150, green chevy, and a blue f150 and we use Zaino on all of them.

it isnt like turtle wax, you dont put it on and buff it off and walk away. you gotta do many different steps. it can take like 2 days to wax one car for me. IMO you get what you pay for when it comes to waxes.

Back in the day we used turtle wax, then we went to meguiars. sure, you wash your car and wax it and it looks nice and shiny but if you do meguiars to half you car and then do the other with zaino and you can really see and feel a difference.

I am really satisified with the Zaino. I have a black on black, acutally my third black car and this stuff is the best that I have ever used.

The first time around takes quite a bit of time, like Waldo said, two days. I clayed it first then did 2 coats of Z5 with a coat of Z6 in between, then a coat of Z2 followed by Z6.
They say to only do a max of 3 coats in one day so the following day I did the second coat of Z2 followed by the Z6 gloss enhancer.

I just put another coat of Z2 on before the 4th and it only needed washing before application. I followed the Z2 with the Z6 and was finished, took about 4 hours to do.

Never heard of Zymol. Seen the Zaino vs. Klasse debate on several sites. I bought Klasse only because I could order on line and get fast delivery - by the time I wanted it, I did not want to mail in an order and wait. Patience is not one of my virtues (some of you have already picked up on that!)
Anyway- I have used Klasse on two black cars, a Blackberry (saturn color black with a hint of berry) and a taupe -looks dark brown/gray to me but I'm color blind - maybe that's why the 2 cars I drive are silver/black and black/silver.:puzzled: ok - get to the point - I am very happy with the Klasse. Would love to see a Klasse vs Zaino side by side. Hey Rtbrd- why don't we do that?
