We took almost the complete drive down into North Carolina, getting off the drive in Asheville to head for Atlanta. Even got to visit the Asheville Diecast store.
Yeah, I have to put up with all these "woods" around here!I live just minutes from Asheville,N.C., and I can access the parkway several places within 15 minutes of my home. I told you guys we had some cool stuff here in N.C.! It is some good driving through the parkway, especially during the fall when the leaves are in full color. Yes, I live in a grand state. There's plenty of cold mountain trout streams here too! Thanks for all the pictures and replies guys. My wife and I have really enjoyed them. Take care. PEACE. I'm OUT. Darby:wavey:

T-birds return to Mission Santa Barbara

That's my blue next to Kim & Jerry's [Sugardaddy] red and white. Jerry snapped the picture on an all newbird cruise we had in Santa Barbara last February. Haven't had the hardtop on in 5 months.

Justin;

I'm a truck guy myself. But I must tell you that the Thunderbird is one VERY sweet machine. Especially if you have a history of lovin' Birds. It's still hard to beat the feel of my F150 though.

Noticed on the maps that there is a Parkway stretching from Nashville, Tennessee to Natchez, Mississippi. Think we'll plan a trip up or down that some year.

I finally got around to getting a digital file of the picture we had taken a few weeks ago at a Mustang cruise in Grand Rapids. The cruise ended at a diner on 28th Street called Pal's. There were over a hundred Mustangs there, most of which got pics taken.

It was a lot of fun, since I've owned three Stangs over the years. I crashed the party arouns 10:00, and if you look at the clock over the diner, it was 11:15 when the pic was taken. I received a warm welcome from the club, and had several offers for even-up trades. Needless to say, I declined gracefully!! :fordsrule::thumbsup:

Very nice picture! Did you guys wet the pavement in front of Pals, or did it rain? The wet pavement along with the clean "retro" apperance of the resturant really made a great background for that pretty T-Bird. Sounds like you guys had some good fellowship. Thanks for your time in sharing these pictures with us. Take care. Darby:thumbsup:

Darby - the photographer had hoses out and kept the pavement wet. That is what we are planning on doiing in August at Rosie's Diner in Rockford for a group of 9 new TBirds. Unfortunately these pics will be in the morning, so no neon effect.

Thanks to all for the nice comments. I have always loved diners, but now with the Bird, I have a great excuse to search them out.
