What do you think of rear tail light covers?

I'm thinking of getting Xenon's smoked tail lights. How are they installed. Is it hard to see light when braking, and turn signals?

Re: What do you think of rear tail light covers?

I had a set on my 80 Cobra years ago and they were hard to see my brake lights. Personally, I would use a tint and spray them.

Re: What do you think of rear tail light covers?

My bro used the VHT Night Shades.Looks great and cost less than 25 dollars.
But such things may be harmful as it becomes really difficult to see the light while braking.

Re: What do you think of rear tail light covers?

Are rear tail light covers even legal in all states? I live in Michigan. I wanted to get the blackout tail light covers for my black F150 when I owned it, but never really pursued it because I was told it was illegal.
