FORD GIUGIARO MUSTANG

The 2005 Ford Mustang captured the hearts and minds of fans and future owners when the all-new model debuted. But the proportions and design of Ford’s first purpose-built muscle car in 30-plus years caught the eyes and sparked the imaginations of a pair of the world’s leading coachbuilders in Italy as well.

“When we saw the new Mustang, we knew two things: It was the best we’d seen since the original, and we had to get our hands on one,” said Fabrizio Giugiaro, styling director of Italdesign – Giugiaro S.P.A.

So in early 2005, Giugiaro pitched J Mays, Ford Motor Company’s group vice president, Design and chief creative officer, on his idea to do an Italian job on the beloved Mustang. The result: Mustang by Giugiaro – a one-of-a-kind concept powered by Ford Racing technologies, marking the Italian coachbuilder’s first reveal two months ago at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

For those of you that drool over Mustang "Concept" cars. Check out the link below and see what the Italians came up with. I like it myself

Re: FORD GIUGIARO MUSTANG

very cool car..the glass roof of this car differentiates it from all other cars and gives a fine look to the car.I think it would also look good in blue color.

This is an awesome car! I love the glass roof. Not crazy about the orange paint job. I think I would like it in black or silver a lot better.

Re: FORD GIUGIARO MUSTANG

Wow, the Italian influence on the car really gives it a high end look. It almost looks more like a "super car" now than a Ford Mustang.

Can I do this mod at home? :D

Re: FORD GIUGIARO MUSTANG

Now that's an awesome car! Pity I wouldn't be able to get it where I live, but well, admiring cars can be done from anywhere.

Well done ford! Ford on a roll!

Re: FORD GIUGIARO MUSTANG

That is definately one hot mustang. I am a very big fan of the mustang from the early years to now - the few in the 70's called the mustang II which was ok, but seemed to be really cheap for the maker. I really would not mind having this car. I love the color and the design as well and the glass covering the roof.
