Thumbs up What model Ford do you own and why did you buy it?

Just like the subject asks. What Ford do you own and why did you buy it.

How long have you owned it?

Are you the original owner?

Comments about the vehicle.

What Ford do I own?

I own a 1954 customline 2door,when I was in High School in '63 I had one,my goal is to drive it back for my 45th reunion next year.It has a 1984 302 and AOD from a Lincoln MK VII.I am rewiring it one end to the other as all the old cloth insulation is shot.I got lucky as the car is an AZ car,one rust hole the size of a quarter below the heater, all glass is good except for bubbling in the vents.I stripped the interior and am repainting and rewiring adding new 12 volt system & gauges. Will be tearing into brakes tomorrow, got lucky Autozone still has brakes & shocks for the old girl.:wavey:

I bought an 88 Mustang GT. My mom originally bought the car to replace the 88 GT she once had. The card was a good solid car, just needed some TLC, alot of miles, some body work, a miss in the motor, etc. She didn't really have the means to get everything done the way she wanted, so she sold the car to me. Since then we've replaced the motor with another 5.0, exhaust, cowl hood, buffed the paint and touched up some areas for now, put on 17X9 Chrome Cobra R's, tinted the windows. The car looks completely different now. Future plans are for new paint, Saleen rear wing, Stalker front bumper and some engine mods.

'01 SuperCrew 4.6 V8 reprogrammed comp, exhaust, air-ride
'91 Bronco stock...my beater & stump puller
'92 T-bird

My blood's blue! I've owned alot of different cars & overall Fords fit me best.
I don't feel there is one single car greater than any other but, for me Ford is the only way to go!

Thanks! I have lots of pics of the car. Here's a before and after pic: And since the latest pic I've tinted the windows. Looks much better!

Yes, the newer Mustangs are heavier than the foxes. Not sure by how much. They 05's and after are even heavier from what I understand.

I have a 1966 Mustang that I bought in May 2003. My first car, so to speak, although I didn't use it as my primary because I was afraid of someone at the school parking lot hurting my baby. Don't have any pics on this computer, have a few back home, although that's 5 hours away from here.

My dad and I also share, because it was given to us by an old lady, a 1960 (I think) Starliner. Neither of us really want it, but we don't want to offend the old lady, so we've got it in a barn. Dunno much about it.

Shannon...IMO the best improvement is going with standard tail lights. I don't know what was up with the vented looking ones. Yours is one of my favs...very clean, just the right amount of chrome!

Fords

There are two. The one that costs the most money and time is a 1946 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. It has a Ford 292 V-8, 1956, and a 1980 Ford Granada rear, Wilwood front discs, bed mounted aluminum fuel cell, and on and on. Basically a mild street rod or custom. It has been a long project, that will continue indefinitely. Whenever something is finished, I decide to change it .

The other is a 1990 Ford Ranger 4X4. It basically is our second vehicle, used also for a few things around the Ranch. Sometimes in the winter the 4 wheel drive is handy!

Well my only current one is a 90 Lincoln. Bought it from my sis (already loved marks tho) when she said it ran like shit. The damn thing runs and drives like a dream, dont know wtf she was smoking. Bought it for $200 bucks like this..

Did what I could when I could, painted using the roller method. Think it came a long way..still have tons of things to do just been putting it off. Sure you peoples know how that is.
