disk brakes

Can anyone tell me whats out there that I can use to convert to disk brakes on my 54 Ford sedan without too much machine work. Perferably a bolt-on. Also what spindles?

there is a company that makes a simple bolt on that you can do in your driveway, but I can't remember the company, but I am sure that it will come to me in the late hours of the night

Your 54 ford can use the same parts as I used on alot of the early 60 Fords I converted to front disc. You can use the brakes off of a 75-80 granada/Monarch. You will also need the spindles. One problem you may have is on the 50s fords the lower ball joint has a different taper than the granada spindle so this will have to be machined or you can buy one already modified from Fatman Fabrications. Another thing you will need is tie rod ends for this application.
