| Driving in snow 2 Yes I am looking for ideas on tires. Standard tires as issued with new vehicle are good in all conditions except snow, sleet, ice. ZX3 handled worse than any other vehicle I have ever driven in winter conditions. My guess is that fat tires caused it to float on the snow instead of biting in. Not sure if buying snows is the answer as same problem will likely occur. Has anyone else had this problem and if so did they find a solution? And how did I end up with the Chey tag? Never owned one*!:chevysucks: |

| suggestions I have had is to install smaller rims for the winter with snows or studded snows. Probably would work but a PIA and expensive. Contact with Ford has not given me an answer? Gotta be an answer somewhere other than selling the thang |

| I dont know. We do not get much snow in Texas. Maybe once or twice every 5 years.

| I have spoken to tire guys and even they are not really sure what to do. The problem is the width of the tire, and a snow tire on these rims would still tend to "float" the car, plus they are about 180 a piece and would need all 4! Time to move south. |

| go pick up a set of steel wheels from a junk yard and get a set of snow tires and have them installed on those wheels. then just put those tires on during the winter. try bridgestone blizzack tires heard good things bout them for winter traction!
