OK, got my 500Z running but having problems with the AOD. Rebuilt (very reputable rebuilder) aod, B&M shift kit.
cannot get anything below 25 psi at idle, in 3rd gear pressure runs around 40 psi, if i put it in D it shifts from first to 3rd in less than 5 seconds at 2000 rpm. under hard acceleration it shifts at 5000 normally. To get a usable 2 nd gear i have to shift manually and go to 2-3 then back to 1 st position very quickly or it goea ahead and shifts to 3 rd.
Have tried adjusting TV cable from 1 extreme to the other 2 teeth at a time and nothing changes at all. it does kickdown at full throttle as it is supposed too. I am worried about the pressures more than anything, why cant i get the "3 to 5" psi at idle?? It does not jump when i put it in gear, it is hardly noticable at all and only drops engine rpm by 200 rpm. My idle speed is < 500 in gear. HELP i dont wanna fry this thing as it is my only transportation since my BMW is OOS.
