Question distributor gear keeps stripping
i have a 1984 f250 w/rebuilt 7.5 460 that keeps stripping the distributor gear. I have replaced the distributor 4 time already and after about 50 - 60 miles the engine will just die. you pull the distributor and the gear has broken teeth and the top of each unbroken tooth very sharp and worn.
