| Check Transaxial indicator 05 Freestar My Freestart works fine except I get this light flashing Check Transaxial. What causes this light to come on? It is flashing not staedy on. I think it might be the alignment of the selector switch on the top of the transmission but this is a guess. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Bruce |

| Re: Check Transaxial indicator 05 Freestar Just to close the loop on this. Not completely solved but we now believe that the throttle position sensor is off which is causing a high speed when in neautral because in park the control of speed is a closed end setting. We believe that the check transaxial indicator is caused by the higher than normal idle and therefore effecting the transmission shifting along with other problems. Now I need to find a TPS for the 4.2 Van. We post my results. |
