K&N Filter (? for Justin)

Hey Justin!!! I saw in one of the pics for your truck that you have a K&N cone shaped filter with no box on your truck. I thougth about doing the same thing but worried about going muddin' or driving on the beach with it. Do you have problems with it getting clogged up with mud??? Whevever I go my whole engine compartment is caked!! :puzzled:

actually when i go muddin i usually have the stock fixture back on, because it is not safe to do it otherwise...Most of the mud would be blocked out anyways along with the water, but the sand particles are too small and would go right through the filter. I just put it back on the other day and was trying to clean it and when i ran the hose over the outside of it, it repeled about 99% of the water, so that was a good feeling but i still would ride the trails with it on.

However if you want their expert advice, you can contact them via their website at http://www.kustomz.com. Hope i helped.

Thanks man. I think I will just leave the stock box on and put in a K&N. Or maybe get a box off one of the newer models. I just don't like the flat rectangle filter on the '94s. I really don't want to have to change the whole duct but we'll see.

a guy I work with used to have a K&N on his dune buggie, and got tired of cleaning it all the time, and was watchin his wife take off a mud splashed pantie hose when a brain storm hit him. He said it made cleanup easier and the only bad thing that he found was being a man and buyin pantie hose. Keeps alot of sand out too
