whats a rotery engine and how does it work?

what the hell is a rotery engine and how the hell does it work?
my friend's parents were lookin for a used little sporty car to cruse around in and i recomended an rx-7 or rx-8 and they said they didn't want a rotery engine. and a nother time my friend's brother's friend was complaining about rx-7 drivers and how they are different people because they have rotery engines and think they're better than everyone else.

the rotor engine has been around since the mid 50s it is not like your common engine in that it has no pistons, what it uses is to rotors that are triangle in shape in a semi elipitical shape basically two circles lapped over each other. it uses to spark plugs for better fuel ecomany and more power, it alsop has unlimited revs, like 9k plus from the factory anythen more you want to know just ask.

hey guys just checking in

Like he said! lol.....Mazda is the only company to have any success with the rotary. A guy named Wankel invented it. It can easily produce power equal to engines twice or three times its size. The only downside is fuel economy.......it uses power like it's a bigger engine! Mazda has just re-introduced the rotary back in America because of the fuel economy reasons. As far as owners attitude they're not anyworse than diesel people. Just looking at the mechanical side it is better because of fewer moving parts. If i'm right they don't produce alot of torque, only good for small vehicles.
