Question Whats my axle gear and is it LS?

ok my axle code for my truck is 27, its a 2000 F-150 4.6L. I used to have a 97 but I flipped her over a month ago and got me a new truck. can some one please tell me so I know if I want change it to a 3.55 LS

Well it usually says what gear you have in the door jam sticker.
but my guess would be that you have a 3.55 but im not sure about the LS.

on the axel tag it should say either 8.8 2.xx 3.xx or 4.xx that is for the non ls axel for the ls axel iit would be 8.8 2l.xx 3l.xx or 4l.xx it could also have a 10.25 axel in it aand it just replaces the 8.8 if it has 10 bolts on the cover it is a 8.8 if it has 12 it is a 10.25

well I know its a 8.8 I counted the bolts the other day there are 10 of them, now I just gotta craw under and look at the tags ont eh axle. Which tag would it be on the passenger or the driver side?

ok ye, its got 3.31s now where can I find a cheap used 3.55 gears and Limited slip diff

I did check ebay but they mostly have a 28 spline axle diffs I need a 31 spline

well, here may be part of a solution.
3.55 gears
and
31 spline limited slip unit
so there's a little bit of help maybe...i searched under Ford 8.8
