Question Idler pulley

The 61 falcon has been going a little slower than I hoped. I am still putting the motor together. The motor is a 88 5.0 HO. Now I would like to use the factory serpentine belt assembly but where I don't have power steering I was wondering if anybody knew where I would be able to get a Idler pulley to replace wher the p.s. would be?

I had to change the idler pulleys on my supercharger setup to larger ones. I found most of the local stores - AutoZone, Pea Boys, and the others - carried idlers of all sizes and belt with and bands. You might try there. You will probably have to fabricate some type of mount for it to be the right distance out so the belt stays inline...

I doubt it will be that easy, but you might try Summit or Barnett Performance and see if they have some type of setup already made. There are a lot of people that take the p.s. off, so there might be a company that has made a bracket already...

I figured alot of guys run manual steering so this would be fairly easy to find. Now I did check summit as well as a few other mustang suppliers and could only find a, a.c. eliminator. This will not work for my application though. If I don't find one soon though I will make one.
