After I installed my MAC intake on my Mountaineer (about a year ago) I noticed that I had lost power and my fuel economy dropped. Now for the last three years I've been taking trips to Austria (I live in Germany) and from where I live I can get to the border on 1 tank. This last trip I only made it 3/4 of the way before re-fueling.

I was glad to read in Ford Truck World Nov03 issue which sells advertisement space to different mfr.'s within their magazine, Blast the throttle body spacers air intake systems & the Tornado Air Management system. (the dyno test results were also included)

FTW: "First we ran a baseline test, followed by the addition of the product. In each case, there was a 3-5 horsepower loss and a loss of 2-5lbs.-ft. of torque."
FTW: These test" dispel some of the advertised claims of horsepower increases by the manufactures".
They go on to say that, yes there are people out there who claim to get better gas mileage/hp but for myself that is not the answer. Though it looks good it wasn't worth it.
