| Tranny trouble(bryan NO!) Bryan...this one is NOT open to your opinions...i already got it....any how...the truck is a 93 Ranger 4x4..with the 4.0....here's the problem the transmission won't engage 4th gear...what could be reasons for this??? and could it have broken or messed up anything else??? |

| THANK YOU BRYAN!!!!! what part of no did you miss the n or the o??? but anywho it is a 5 speed manual..so thats the deal...the guy said it might need a new 4th gear

| darn. I was getting all ready to tell you everything I know about the 3-4 shift in the A4LD (wouldn't have taken more than a minute or two ). I don't know as much about manual transmissions because I haven't had problems with one (yet).Is it only going into 4th gear that you have problems? Any other gears show problems shifting? |

| nope, from what i have been told it is only 4th gear that has the problem...he said the gear may be stripped..or linkage...or who the hell knows what.
