2.5L Headers

Anyone have headers on their trucks? I have a header kit for my truck but have not had it installed because some buddies said the increased heat continously fried their wires in theirs. Any suggestions or comments there and would you go steel or ceramic??

I would wrap your header with thermal wrap to keep the underhood temperatures low if you go steel/chrome. With ceramic, there shouldn't be any need to worry it, it'll be just as hot as the stockers, probably less. I personally would go with ceramic headers for my 3.0l, because if I'm gonna do it, I want to do it right.

I would go with ceramic coated headers or have them coated if you can't buy them that way. I would not wrap them because I have had friends do that and the headers ended up rotting out underneath the wrap. Just make sure when you install them to route all wires from around the headers.
