Union 76 Guardol 30 weight. I buy it by the 55 gallon drum (7 cars, a John Deere tractor, and a Cat 955 loader)...

I also run Union 76 2 stroke oil in my jet skis...

As long as it is around, I won't touch anything else. Guess I stick with what works for me...

Here is a link to Unocal's (Union 76) Oil and Lubricant page:

Unocal Info

I did mistype about the Cat - I do not run the 30wt totally in it, and would have to look to see what the grade is on what we use in it, as I really do not remember. I do know it is part of the Guardol QLT line.

We go through a drum about every 3-4 months, depending on the season and how much travel we do. During the summer and early fall, we use the most because my wife and I like to take trips with the skis... During the winter, we slow down some.

In the last 6 cars and trucks, we have over 800,000 miles using it, and all on their original engines - no rebuilds.

That is the reason I say I will stick with what works for me. I don't knock other brands, because I know a lot of people do get good results with them. But I can say I would be willing to pull the intake and heads on the X with 150,000 miles on it and lay money down that it is better off and cleaner than most out there with 150,000 miles...

nice site i was just wondering since gas oil is not certifided to be run in diesel. since the oil detergents are different and suck i just dont want to have to see you have to rebuild the motor in a 955 it is a pain.

to me oil is oil is oil since only 3 major oil companys drill for it and such and then irt is sent to a lab to have there spific detregents added in.

ha wally is it a synthetic and how many miles are on your truck.if it is a sythetic and more then 30k you are strongly recommended to stay with a synthetic.

I use Johnson & Johnson baby oil....Oh wait, we are talking about cars here

I usually stick with pure synthetic. I lean toward Valvoline brand but might go with another brand name if it's less expensive when I see it on the shelf.
