| you can get performance cats that will still pass inspection... many people never do this, but it will allow you higher air flow, and make you sound better... have you been offroading recently? i had some bad smells after that, but it was just mud burning... a good underside wash took care of that.... i believe that jegs sells cheap high-flow cats www.jegs.com i think that's right LR22

| uhhh, unless you're good at welding and what not, i'd reccommend making the trip down to pronto... if it smells like rotten eggs, it's either a hole in the muffler or the cats... take it to pronto, have 'em look at it, and they'll tell you what to do... give them a call ahead of time and ask if they know what the prob is....

| Does the X feel like you have more backpressure or is it skipping any? The smell usually means the cats, and if you can weld, then you can do them yourself. I would have all 4 cats removed, and put (1) 2-in-2-out hi flow cat on with a Flowmaster. That would open up all kinds of air in itself. If you don't have headers, you might want to think about those also. If you get a set of the FMS headers, you will see how restrictive the stock 302 headers really are... :smokin:

| I wish I would have taken a pic of mine before I put them on so you could see the inner diameter of each. The stock headers are double tubed. I will take a pic of them and post in a little while...
