| Between those two? I'd take the programmer... If you wanted to get a custom chip burned though, I do beleive the Programmer has a limit to what you can do and a custom programmed chip is BASICALLY limitless... But if you ever need to change something you'll have to take it in to get reburned...

| A programmer is not the best at overall horsepower(usually benefits in high rpm), but is more flexible. A programmer can be adjusted for tire size, gearing, rpm limits, shift rpm and more. A chip can not be changed by the user.It would have to be re-burned with some changes. A programmer takes a few minutes to plug in and play! Any major change and you can alter it in a few minutes. If you're looking for the most horsepower and nothing else....... go with a chip. Happy hunting! |

| Don't forget that with a programmer you can change everything back to stock for warranty work. If they open up your computer they can tell if you have had a chip or not. (They are the dealer). If you still have a warranty, and don't plan on doing any big time racing I would go with a programmer. But if you have a bunch of mods done, than you would benefit from a custom chip better.
