and also r you running a pyrometer and what r you temps i am just curious
17.5:1 eh? I think you're a little confused... Let's say there was a motor making 17.5:1 compression... It'd be a race motor and have to run race fuel... You wouldn't be able to boost on it... But I didn't quite understand your post anyway... Could you maybe rephrase your earlier post??

I don't know exactly what you were talking about...
Thanks

ok let me try this again

what i am saying is that you could easially bump up your boost pressure to about 15 pounds if you goot a mechinally sound engine. you r not running that high of compression so you could force more air in to the cylinders(more boost=more power) just watch you exhaust gas temps(egts) so you dont melt the valves out of the head ( any thing above1250 f) or just blow the head off the deck your choice

and my curiosty is what is you egts tempts if your running a pyrometer

yes i know... somewhat close to that i would mess up the exhaust valves... but the valvetrain isn't meant to handle that so no, i couldn't boost that much... no i'm not running a pyro...
And yes, with internal work I could boost 15... but not in my current state... You're not telling me anything I don't already know...

i am saying right now you could boost to 15 as long as you watch you egts and dont allow them past 1250 post turbo and have you thought about water injection in your tube intake just wondering

The only water cooling I thought about was an air/water intercooler... But I decided there isn't enough room and I won't really need it overall... There's no way my internals could handle 15psi even if the exhaust wasn't that hot... I know the roller cam kind of puts less strain on the valvetrain but it still wouldn't be able to handle that type of stress... And my compression is pretty low, but it isn't that low... I don't think my rods or piston rings would be able to support 15psi let alone the valvetrain on top of that... So I'm just not even going to attempt it...
