Ok... I know the V1 is the best. but its pricey

Does anything come close for less $$$$

Idon't think there is anything that comes close to the V1. I don't own one. but I have seen them in action. The big thing is they have arrows so you can see where the signal is coming from. That is a big help. No one else uses that technology on their detectors.

I have a $150 Bell that got good reviews. It works very well. Radar Detectors are handy. You need to know their limitations and they can be very effective.

Check out this site. They are pretty new to radar detectors but they have some pretty cool ideas.
PhotoBlocker: License Plate Spray and Covers to Defeat Red Light and Speed Cameras

They offer radar detectors that also uses GPS technology to tell you where red light cameras and speedtraps are located. Sounds like cool devices that they are putting out....
