Portable vehicle DVD players...

I am looking at getting a DVD player to put in the Truck for the kids. What does everyone recomend?

Any bad luck with any of the units?

What type ?
One that can go from the truck/car to the house ?
Or one that is perm. mounted ?

If you are looking for something portable I'd check the reviews on CNET or any other electronics rating site. I've seen model that hang off the driver or passenger seat.

Definitely stay away from the cheaper models. They'll work fine for a few months but once you've put them to real use they'll die real fast (pixels dying, DVDs won't read etc.) Trust me, it'd actually be cheaper in the long run if you bought an expensive player.

I would agree with flea. my mom bought a cheap postable dvd player for the car and it was a complete POS. You don't need to buy super high end stuff. but just make sure its a "name brand" at the very least.
