my subwoofer box plans & pics

Thought I would post my plans for my subwoofer box. It fits a 10 inch subwoofer with a top mount depth of 5 and 5/8" which is fairly deep for a 10 inch. You may be able to do a 12 inch with it too, but it's probably too small in cubic feet to really make noise with a 12 inch.

Anyway it fits like a glove inside my regular cab ranger.

You can easily make the box wider if desired just change the 25 inch width to whatever you want, or even double it for two subwoofers (if you remove your tire iron and jack).

Josh, they don't make a DVC version of that sub, or any of the P5 subwoofers for that matter. I think you are thinking of the earlier Sony subs (the L series) that are worlds apart from this P5.

The only major/obvious differences other than size, is the cone. It's either Polypropylene (red) or aluminum (silver). Anyways I'm throwing around 200 watts to it, and I am very pleased.

I am thinking about putting 300-400 watts into it, but not unless I find a awesome deal on a good mono amp.

Anyway, you should hear it Friday night...

Sweet!

Nice to see someone else is having luck finding a sub box to fit a reg. cab too lol I decided on a Kicker L7 8in. that I'm getting installed tomorrow. I'm moving my jack cover and jack so I can fit a ported box for it. It'd be cool if there was enough room to port that ten but its doubtful
