How do you splice into the fuse box

I'm going to install a 12" mtx 6000 sub, with a 400watt profile amp in my truck. 1998 ford ranger xlt ext. cab. How do i wire in the remote turn on lead and which fuse would i use.

Forget the fuse box, use the remote turn on lead on the stereo. The stock wire should be a yellow wire with black stripe. Tap into that wire and run it into your remote input on your amp.
