| Re: 302 in a ranger If you do an engine swap to a V8, you know you are going to have to swap out that rear end cluster for something bigger.
The 4.0 packages are the only ones that come with the 8.8 ring gear if I recall.
Anything smaller may not hold up.
See if you can find a 8.8 at the boneyard.
And I would want to swap for a V8 onto a 4.o platform only anyways, cause it makes it so much easier imo. |
