Cleaning Undercarriage

When I finish the interior of my Ranger, I have some paint like sound deadener I want to use as an undercoating.
This morning while working on the cab, I decided to look underneath. My truck is 5 years old with almost 75,000 miles on it.
While it doesn't look to bad under there considering it's age and mileage. It is covered with dirt, dust and grease.
I'd like to clean it so the paint/sound deadener will adhere properly. Neighbor suggested I take the truck someplace and have it steam cleaned.
While I like that Idea, I don't know where I could have that done. Does anyone know where I might take my truck for that?
I was thinking I might be able to use some sort of spray degreaser and then just hose it down.
I'm afraid that will make a mess in my carport. Is there some other way I could clean the truck without making a mess?

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
