i was driving home today when i noticed a screeching noise from my engine.. at first i thought my serp belt was going out which was odd cause i just replaced it... when i got home i noticed my engine was splashed with coolant...
not cool.. so i checked the engine temp and it was normal but my resevoir was empty and it was leaking profusely for a minute out of the bottom...
i filled it with water and ran it for a while to see if it would heat up at all but no.... just normal and the leak is no longer there :puzzled:... do you guys have any idea what this might be? the passenger side fender well (where the resevior sits) was soaked in coolant but the overflow seemed to be attached still so i am out of ideas for now...
i am going to replace the fluid and replace the thermostat (thought it might be sticking) tomorrow... maybe i will go 180* thermo...
