| Well, There was a noticable increase in HP. The ZE J-Spec is rated at 200crank hp. There is no way in H-E Double Hockey Sticks this motor would pass emmisions. The compression ratio is A LOT higher, 10:1. Which poses F/I problems, and you have to run 90 or higher octane. The whp WITH the j-spec ECU is about 170 or so compared to the around 135 whp of the american model.
Other than those differences the two engines are identical, besides the fact one says ford and the other says mazda.
